I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and have been trying to use NextPVR. The issues I'm having is the Live TV and recording are choppy, complete black screen or the program crashes with a Runtime C++ R6106 error. I'm at a lost at what to try
My specs are as follows
TV tuner: Hauppauge 2255
Processor: AMD Quad core 4GZ
Ram 16GB
Windows 64bit

Just upgraded to Windows 10 and having a few issues.
As a test, I sent in and selected Quick Record on a show to test recording. The show turned red in the program guide, but I noticed the "n" logo in the task bar did not turn red like it did previously. Also, the show did not show up as "Recording" in the Recordings list. Then, I went to cancel the recording and got an error message: Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8968.
I upgraded to Windows 10, everything with NPVR appears to work fine on the desktop. However, I have 2 A-110's which are both not connecting. When it boots, I see my network share, select it, but then get "Invalid username or password".
It's been years since I last went through this setup. I seem to recall I had to setup a Guest account in Win7? Is that still the case? In any case, I could use some direction from someone who's more familiar with the setup process. Thanks!
Hi - is there anyway of getting the Nextpvr interface url to be configurable like the port number? Something like http://host:8866/npvr/modern
I'd like to set up an Nginx reverse proxy to access via my domain if possible so I can access the service via something like http://www.domain.com/npvr
I'm running NextPVR 3.6.6 on Windows 10 and have been doing so successfully for some time.
I use a SiliconDust HDHomerun tuner (original).
Sometime between July 11 and July 24 NextPVR stopped decoding streams from my HDHomerun correctly.
I can use the HDHomerun live viewer to view a channel correctly but now when I try NextPVR Live the video and audio are scrambled.
I say July 11 and July 24 because a show recorded on July 11 plays fine but the next episode recorded on July 24 does not. NextPVR displays a scrambled video on the July 24 video and the size of the .ts file is about one fifth the size of one recorded for the same show on July 11.
I have not tinkered with any of the settings since I reinstalled with Windows 10 (February) and it had been workng fine.
I have not installed any new a/v apps or other multimedia software recently.
How do I begin to track down what has gone wrong here?
I have Nextpvr running quite happily with an older dual core AMD HTPC build on windows 7.
I have both an HDHomerun Prime with cablecard on Comcast, and an HDHomerun Extend, which both are working fine with Nextpvr.
If I upgrade to Windows 10 and lose WMC, will I end up with crippled HDHomerun Prime cablecard usage?
Does DRM get hosed when losing WMC or just codecs?
I dont want to lose the ability to record and view the HD channels (non premium) on Comcast if I upgrade.
I anticipate eventually rebuilding the HTPC in the next couple years, but right now its running fine.
Should I stay put on Win7 and skip the free upgrade?
I recently found the time to install the latest version of NextPVR. This morning I started the program and moved to "Live TV" to start the same channel that I was last using the night before. Error message came up so I tried with getting the channel list to show and clicked on the channel I wanted. Same error.
I did not have this happen with the last version. Does anything show to those of you that understand the info in the logs? I do see the error but understanding why is another issue.
Need info'. Not sure if off topic but here goes, Have DCR-2650 cable card tuner with adapter, Windows 10. Using NPVR scan picks up all channels, but mostly black screen. Card software has Web Interface, scanning there reveals about 90% of channels have DRM flags. Cox doesn't have a clue. They went all digital recently, that is when trouble began. Is there any solution or is this strictly a provider problem. Thanks for any help
I have just made a couple of Logos for the BBC Olympics (SD & HD) to cover all the extra BBC Red Button channels that will be available for the Rio Olympics by the end of this month.
This is just an observation but, for me, streaming live TV on my Windows PCs is now working reliably again since I upgraded to 3.7.7, it's been quite a while since I could do this!
I'd moved over to using Kodi (and SPMC on a couple of Android boxes) to get this working.
