AutoRemoveMissingRecordings parameter in the config file is set to true.
What triggers this action and when is this action performed? Does this action perform the eaxct same function as if if used the Delete button under the Recording menu?
Hi,
Been using NextPVR for several months with great results, my cable provider, WideOpenWest, sent a message to rescan cable ready TV's due to network maintenance. I have 1 TV with cable company DVR attached and 1 TV that's cable ready both are working fine after the rescan. I am also using NextPVR with 2 HDHomeRun dual tuners. Since rescanning Live TV shows only a black screen and no sound, same trying to record, No error messages and the HDHomeRun tuners light up. I am using saf6 decoders, that have been working fine. I also tried disabling my ZoneAlarm firewall to no avail. Also HD viewer works fine, and previously recorded programs play ok, tried changing HDHomeRun preview from nextpvr but none of the others work either. I Know I'm missing something but don't know what, hope you can help. I've attached the NextPVR log hope it's the right one.
First of all love nextpvr - been using mediaportal for a while but had problems with it losing my TV card. No such probs now!!
One thing I haven't worked out yet is that in MP, shows would record .ts file and also produce a xml file with the epg data.
Nextpvr has the data viewable in the program and I have found the file which stores all the info, but is there a way to export that data so I can match up the show, as the .ts file doesn't contain any metadata.
I usually take the recording, editing and renaming them, and having the info at hand either in metadata or info in the same named xml file as the recorded show really helps, otherwise I have to go into the program and try and work it out by the recording dates.
I have a JVC 65" 4K TV (Model DM65USR) that I use as a TV monitor connected via HDMI along with a just-built new computer running an ASRock Z170M Extreme4 LGA 1151 with Windows 7. With this rig, Windows wants it to be set at a resolution of 3840Ã2160 (recommended). However, if I attempt to use that resolution, I cannot read any text on the screen. So, I manually set resolution to 1920x1080, and that allows me to see text clearly. My problem is that NPVR doesn't seem to handle resolution adjustments correctly.
Some of the channels that I watch have recently changed from 1080 to something much less. It appears that they are either Letterboxed or Pillarboxed at 480, instead of 1080. This results in a picture that is basically shrunk with a black border all around (sorry, I don't know the right terms). In the past, I'd simply hit F7 to change the AspectRatioMode which resulted in a full sized picture, albeit at lower resolution. This has worked well for the last 6 months or so, with the old rig.
But, with this rig, and the change made by Brighthouse, the result is less than full-screen with any F7 attempted option. And, it appars to be non-linear. It appears that the top half of the screen responds correctly (linerarly), but the lower half of the screen stays compressed (non-linearly). I'm probably not describing it correctly.
I know, it sounds wierd, but I thought it might be worth a shot with sub. Maybe he has seen something like this before. Any ideas?
Lately I've noticed many of my recordings are having audio problems. I use Comskip (81.092) to create the VideoRedo .vprj and .edl files for cutting commercials. I've noticed in the .vprj files the non-English audio streams seem to be selected causing my problems.
Is there any comskip setting that would force the AudioStreamPID to default to English if it exists?
For example, the generated .vprj file for Wayward Pines shows:
Due to a hard drive failure, I've recently rebuilt my system and I'm wondering if I've missed some comskip setting or something..... Also, I've just moved to Florida (from California), so maybe the broadcasting stream Xfinity/Comcast uses is different...
I created a new skin named "Modern" with a bright, fresh and clean design. Note that this based on the default skin, so only the default screens are supported (no third party plugins). Enjoy!
Installation Instructions:
1. Unzip and copy the "Modern" folder to "C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Skin\"
2. Open the Settings window in NextPVR. Change the Active Skin to "Modern"
I have a number of shows set as "Record all new episodes on this channel" but because of the way that the station has encoded them nPVR picks up all the repeats as well, which I don't want.
I have tried going through the recurring recordings list, picking the instances I don't want and setting those instances to "Cancel" which removes them from the list. However next day the unwanted duplicates are back.
I don't want to miss any episodes, so I need these shows on a recurring basis, but once I have decided that I don't want a particular repeat I should be able to get rid of it off the list permanently.

By manually editing a channel on 12519 MHz to SID 1530, I was able to get the EPG info for prime but not able to get a picture or sound. Must admit I don't understand the TSID and ONID settings - can't relate them to the above.
My OTA EPG data shows up just fine on the program interface and I can manage recordings from the Web interface, but none if the EPG data will show up on the Web interface. The only this I have seen that looks funny is this:
