Is it possible to change the positioning of the menu items in the slideout skin (and if so, how).
I had a play around with skin files but to no avail. Admittedly, I am a bit of a numpty when it comes to skin tweaking.
Also....Would it be possible (feature request) to keep the layout of the slideout menu (i.e. font) without including the "slideout feature" of showing an image of the plugin's last screen image. Whilst I find it kind of neat, my family find this somewhat confusing. However I can't just use the vertical menu as this really looks a but naff (in comparison to the slideout menu)
This request was inspired by my lifting a cool image from (iirc) http://www.deviantart.com to use as a backdrop.
All of a sudden, I can no longer play live TV. At first I got messages that it could not communicate with recording service. It was running but I stop and started it again then continually get the message that it can't find the capture device. The device works fine in Win TV.
Also, I see in the logs (attached) some things I've never noticed before "Unexpected error calling StartStream(): System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): The system cannot find the file specified". I have no idea was StartStream is.
I am running NextPVR on Windows 10 ... runs great. I loaded Kodi on the latest Fire TV box. I have the Fire TV box, and not the stick, because I want to use an ethernet connection. I was using the FireTV box with a TLC brand LED TV using the HDMI port. It worked beautifully. I connected to the NextPVR server on my Windows 10 box and loaded all of the live TV channels in Kodi. It worked well so I moved the Fire TV box to another room in my home. Still on an ethernet connection. This TV is a Westinghouse LED. Really the only difference in the setup is the TV. And Live TV on the Westinghouse TV doesn't work so well. It constantly freezes, pixelates and is generally unbearable. When I move the Fire TV, with Kodi, back to the TLC TV ... it works fine.
I don't understand how the TV could be a factor but it seems to be. Hopefully there is a an expert reading this post that could shed some light on my problem.
I am using nextpvr version 3.6.6 with windows 10. it was working but now I get blank recordings. tuner is silicone dust hdhomerun. i tried various configurations on the hdhomerun tuner as well as rescanning channels cant make it work. Any ideas? log file is attached.
Thanks,
Paul
This is my first time on so not sure if this is the right place to post.
I am running Windows 10 in the UK. I previously used NPVR Version 3.5.7 with the following decoder settings which worked.
Renderers (Default Settings) New Settings Version 3.5.7
Video Renderer EVR EVR
Audio Renderer (Default) (Default)
Music Renderer (Default) (Default)
Video Decoders (Default Settings)
MPEG2 Video Disabled ffdshow video decoder
LAV Video Decoder does not work.
H.264 Video Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder Microsoft DTV-DVD Video
HEVC Video LAV Video Decoder Disabled
I have installed NPVR version NPVRsetup_3_6_6 and am getting neither picture nor sound. I have installed various codec packs including CodecSetup-74518225, ffdshow_rev4532_20140717_clsid, K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1185_Mega, SAF 631, media.player.codec.pack.v4.4.0.setup.
In NPVRsetup_3_6_6 I have uninstalled and reinstalled and tried all alternative decoder options to no avail.
Hi Sub
I'm having frustrating issues with audio/video gradually losing sync on HDMI in with the new rocket, even using the hauppauge capture software (apparent card issue, not npvr)
So sadly I'm probably going to have to go back to component inputs, but the level on the rocket is very low, even using the latest firmware and having 'boost analog audio' selected in the config. Its also low in HDMI, but the analogue audio is super low compared to my DVB-T tuners.
So my question is, when npvr starts the rocket, can you ask the driver for a higher volume? I know that unlike the HD PVR there's no advanced settings available for the rocket in npvr. Given the small number of users that would have a Rocket I totally understand that this would be a low priority for you, but just wondering if the Rocket's volume can be set when starting it? Otherwise I'll have to dig up one my old designs for a low noise line level booster.
I'm hoping for some help. I've read through the posts but find anything. I have the Nextpvr Plugin on my Plex server but get the error message "This directory appears to be empty." F all the options. Is there a seeing I'm missing?
I have both Nextpvr & Plex on the same system with the standard set ups.
I've run into an issue that has stumped me and I'm hoping someone in the community can suggest some things to try.
I have an HTPC setup using NextPVR with a Hauppauge HD PVR (Component Video 1080i).
This weekend I got fed up with the tangled mess of wires in my home theatre setup and spent several hours rearranging and rewiring everything cleanly.
After getting everything hooked up again, I tried using the NextPVR Live TV feature to watch a show but all I'm getting is a black screen. I haven't used NextPVR in a while so I don't know if this is a new issue or has been going on for a few weeks.
I know everything is wired correctly because the passthrough on the HD PVR is working. I have it going to the HDMI IN on my Xbox One (via a Component to HDMI converter) and I can watch TV on the Xbox without issue.
I also tested the Capture feature of ArcSoft ShowBiz (it came bundled with something I bought once, maybe the HD PVR itself) and it is working fine as well. So I know that the HD PVR is getting a signal and that it is working.
I checked my decoder settings in NextPVR and they seem fine. I'm using the Microsoft DTV-DVD decoder for H.264 and the MainConcept decoder for MPEG2.
I noticed that there was an update for NextPVR last month so I installed that but I'm still getting the black screen problem when I try to watch live TV.
Lastly, I am able to use NextPVR to watch old recordings.
The only thing that has changed recently on my HTPC is that I regularly keep my K-Lite Codec pack updated and I'm thinking maybe something with a recent update is causing issues with NextPVR. Is there a different codec I can try to use with NextPVR?
This was all working as recently as last month.
I was hoping to get back into using Next PVR for watching/recording TV on a regular basis. Is there anything else I can check or try to get this working?
Is it possible that something in my NextPVR setup is corrupted and I need to completely uninstall it and re-install?
I don't know if it matters but my HTPC is running Windows 10. I haven't had any problems with it before but maybe some new issue has cropped up.
The install story for the old one is, plugged it in, turned PC on, installed drivers, install NextPVR, run next PVR.
Setup was... Devices found OK, recorder settings were... CI/CAM non. DiSEqC None. Sat Optus D1
LOF1 10750 SW 10750 LOF2 10750 (I didn't know any different)
Scanned & found all the NZ FTA channels... Wife & child happy
Skip forward 3 years... replacing 6981 with 6982 & Install story is:
plugged it in, turned PC on, installed drivers, install NextPVR, run next PVR.
Setup was... Devices found OK, recorder settings were... CI/CAM non. DiSEqC None. Sat Optus D1
LOF1 10750 SW 10750 LOF2 10750
Scanned & found no channels... Wife & child not happy
I used the blind scan tool from TBS & that found all the NZ channels (could watch them on their app too). I copied those settings to NextPVR.. No channels.
Windows firewall is off
Windows 10 home (old hardware & NextPVR were fine on here)
