I have the latest version of nPVR using two Haupage tuners on FreeSat and I am seeing occasional errors of the type shown above.

Any idea of the cause ?? I dont remember seeing this on previous revisions.

Are there any "skins" or "styles" available for NEWA?

Failing that, where's the CSS stored so I can change the style myself. I'd like to tweak the colors a bit.

How can I make the TV Guide listing larger?

My wife has poor vision. We're OK with sacrificing some rows (and columns) if it will allow us to get larger text so she can read the guide data better. I'm fairly competent editing stuff, I just need to know what files to edit.

Is it possible to detect that a recording is getting no signal/data while recording?

I have digital cable boxes as my source (Arris DCX 3200) but they randomly turn off every 2-3 weeks. My remote has a power toggle button but not a power on. If i could detect that the box is off i could send the power toggle signal and maybe repeat the channel change command to get things back on track.

I'm a newbie with NextPVR.

I'm running NextPVR under Windows 10. I've installed NextPVR, however I cannot seem to configure the MPEG2 decoder. In the NextPVR Decoders dialog, under "Video Decoders MPEG2 Video:" there is only one option "Disabled". If I try to select the button with the three dots to the right of this (which I assume is a button to enable me to browse the filesystem and find the correct decoder) the button does nothing.

I have a hauppauge Win TV-7164 BDA ATSC/QAM dual tuner card. In the installation instructions for NextPVR (at http://www.nextpvr.com/decoders.html) it says that if you want to install an MPEG2 video decoder then: "MPEG-2 Video: ... the MainConcept decoder that comes with the Hauppauge WinTV software, ..." is available. I imagine that this means that I am to point the MPEG2 Video decoder in the NextPVR "Decoders" dialog to the MainConcept decoder that comes with my hauppauge tuner card. I can't seem to do this.

I have three problems:
1. the MainConcept decoder is not presented as an MPEG2 Video decoder option by NextPVR

2. the little button which is beside the "Video Decoders MPEG2 Video" does not allow me to browse to the location of the MainConcept decoder

3. even if I could browse my filesystem I don't know where the MainConcept decoder is located on my filesystem (I installed the hauppauge dual tuner card but I have no idea where it put the MainConcept decoder).

I've attached the logs from NextPVR to this post, as well as a snapshot of the NextPVR Decoders dialog.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have a dual boot PC with win 7 and win 10.

On win 7 NextPVR has no problem with channel changes.

On Win10, first channel selected comes up in a few seconds. However if you use either the channel up or type in a new channel it registers on the set top box, the red light comes on on the Hauppague HDPVR for about a minute then goes out. About a minute later, The message following comes on the screen:

"The tuner you were using was required for a recording. Would you like to switch to watching a recording or exit to the main menu?

When you exit to the main menu the new channel comes up in seconds after selecting live TV.

I have tried numerous decoders and device setups but the result is the same. the setup in the logs is as far as I can tell the same one that works perfectly on the Windows7 setup on the same physical machine.

I have spent many hours trying various decoders and device setups. I even did a Win 10 refresh. No change. Currently back on my restored image.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey all, I have recently installed NextPVR and am liking it so far. One question, though: I realized that I had inadvertently deleted a channel from the channel list that I wanted. How do I add that back in? I don't see a way to do that.

Attached is a log file set that was created just this morning.

I occasionally take a peek into the NRecord.log file just to check how the nightly EPG update ran. My question is about the update going through the new EPG and checking for any changes to Recurring Recordings. In the NRecord.log at 2016-04-01 04:22:54.775, the log shows that "Gotham" did not match recurring rules yet "Recordings->Pending" shows that it is scheduled. Same situation occurs in the same update log for "Blue Bloods" at 2016-04-01 04:23:08.811.

Can you help me understand what's going on?

Ok bought HD Prime and got M card from Brighthouse store, only had 1 left and it looked like it had bullet holes in it. I load card, picks up 18 channels, Validate NONE.
Set up. Cable > HD Prime w M Card > Router.

Called support and said only 18 channels are coming in and they said m cards hinky and we have to deliver it. Ok so they deliver new M card, plug in and Scan : Error, wait 5 min Scan picks up 209 channels. Validate NONE, Happy but all basic non premium channels.
Same set up.

Called support 3rd time and after 30 min on hold from nice CS lady she found out all Cable card issues or questions go to the PVT or PRT dept. Something like that. Once you have card you must have them in this dept activate it reguardless if the installer dropped it off or is paired. He knew exactly what was going on and had it validated in 2 minutes. I asked him about the premium channels and all that and he said just get a Free SDV tuner from Brighthouse and run the cable in that, then out of that into my HD prime and plug in USB. Did this rescanned and now have 449 channels with nothing missing.
Set up Cable > SDV Tuner> HD Prime w M Card > Router

Just thought this might save some bright house people time to goto the PRT dept immediately.

Hi guys.

I have been using NVPR for a few years now without any issues.. but for some reason, I have recently been experiencing stuttering on live TV but the strange thing is it only does it when the NVPR window is in the foreground.
If I click on the desktop or open up the NVPR settings window so that the live stream is in the background.. it plays fine.

Obviously this doesn't work while in full-screen mode.

I have re-installed the latest version but It has done this since version 3.5.7

I also don't think it is the video that is stuttering.. but the client itself is freezing slightly as the right click menu takes a while to pop up.

So I thought it was probably my AV software but disabling it has no effect.
