I just downloaded and installed NPVR version 366.
The program seems to be working fine, but it is in full-screen mode. I need to be able to switch back to the Window mode.
I have done a search on the forum, and found a couple of suggestions, but nothing that works.
How do you swap between full-screen mode and the Window mode.
Yesterday I upgraded my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
NextPVR seems to work fine. I can watch live TV and do a recording while the computer is on, etc.
I looked in Task Scheduler and noticed that my recurring task to update NextPVRs EPG wasn't there. I was concerned.
I scheduled a test for noon today to record The Brady Bunch at a time when the computer would be off.
I didn't see anything created in Task Scheduler to wake the computer up so I wasn't hopeful.
I came home and no recording. When I look in NextPVR it says that "Recording service not running at recording time".
I then checked the Windows system log and it didn't wake up at just before noon.
I've attached my logs.
I see that in the logs it says that it Requested wake up as shown below:
Requesting wake up for 'RecordingOID859' at 1/24/2016 11:57 AM
I'm guessing that this means that NextPVR would create a scheduled task to wake up?
Any ideas why NextPVR isn't creating the scheduled tasks?
I have a HDHomerun prime which works fine with NPVR with no cablecard. Installed a cablecard ran HDHomerun setup to change the config from digital to cablecard and ran devices setup in NPVR again. NPVR sees the device and finds channels however when I try to watch liveTV all I receive is a black screen no audio. Recordings grow in size but again just a black screen no audio during playback in VLC. I tried different decoders including SAF6 since it is stated in the Read before posting. One note is the HDHomerun setup no longer includes "Other - ATSC/QAM" for application (again read before posting) unless I am missing something that is. I have tried Default and Next PVR for the BDA Compatibility Mode in HDHomerun setup. Windows Media Center on a windows 7 box is able to see most of the channels HBO and handle full of other channels are not displaying but HDHomerun logs report I am not subscribed to those channels so I know there is an issue that needs cable intervention but I should be able to at least see standard channels in NPVR right?
OS: Windows 10
Tuner: HDHomerun Prime CableCard and tuning adaptor
Hi, first post here, read a lot about issues similar to mine, but still can't get NextPVR to work. When I select Live TV, I get a black screen, no video or audio. At first there was no C:\temp file, so that was added. Still not working. This is version. 3.6.6. I have looked at many websites and the settings of NextPVR seem to be as recommended, but something is wrong. I don't know what else to try, please help, Thanks in advance.
After switching from a Ceton infinitv 4 USB tuner to an HDhomerun PRIME tuner, and having re-worked my hard undrive from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 8.1 (and then to Windows 10), I then re-installed NextPVR, and used it to record several TV programs quite successfully. HOWEVER, when I attempted to watch live TV on it, I got only the video--no sound at all! I've attached the logs in zip format. I'm using the LAV decoders and the EVR audio renderer. What do I need to do to correct this problem? Thanks in advance for your time and assistance!

Just using Kodi 15.2 with NextPVR 3.6.6 for a couple weeks, I have a question regarding how timer and scheduling works between Kodi and NextPVR.
If I setup to record a series of TV shows in NextPVR, the Kodi TV Timer will not mark the program being scheduled. But the TV shows will record.
If I setup to record a series of TV shows in Kodi, the NextPVR schedule will only mark the program being scheduled to record once. But the TV series seemed to be recorded every time even when Kodi is not running.
If I setup a timer to record a TV show one time in Kodi, the NextPVR will not mark the program being scheduled to record.
Here is some of my observation which is confusing to me. I just want to make sure I understand how the timer and recording works between Kodi and NextPVR.
Which is the best way (Kodi or NextPVR) to setup recording for series of TV shows?
Recently setup a new htpc with hdhomerun prime cablecard tuner using npvr as the backend, schedules direct epg, and all piped into kodi. Live TV in Kodi works great and any single recordings that I set launch later no problem (for example, watching a hockey game to about half way through hit record and then came back later that day and launched the recording right where I left off). My issue is any scheduled recordings that were made do not open in npvr, kodi, or even if I try to open the .ts file by itself vlc won't open it. The files are the sizes they should be, ~4.5 gigs for an hour HD show so it's at least tried to record something. When I go to launch them nothing really happens, i just end up back at the same menu that i started at after a few seconds.
Any thoughts what could be causing this?
Sorry if this has been asked before. I've tried looking through all of the resources available here and haven't seen the topic specifically brought up, but I also may have missed it.
Just a small issue.... We have two HEVC encoded channels on DVB-T here. When scanning channels, NPVR identifies them as "digital radio" and does not show image. When you however manually set them to HEVC h.265, they work.
Like I said... small issue but just wanted to notifiy it.
