Lately a few shows are hit or miss as to whether NPVR will play them. When we click play we just get a black screen. No video or audio. The recordings are there, as we can watch them via Media Player Classic. One show that this has happened on a few times is "Bitten", but it doesn't happen every week. One or two other shows have done the same thing, but again, not every week. Here's a link to the first 50MB of the last Bitten episode that wouldn't play in NPVR.
I am using xmltv for guide information. I am recording a show weekdays from 4:30 to 5:00. All the shows appear in the guide and also when I search all. However, when I choose to record all (new, daily, timeslot, etc.) each selection skips Thursday and Friday. Monday through Wednesday always show scheduled. Is this happening to anyone else? I am also noticing that every now and then next will also skip a scheduled show and jump to the next new show after on other shows as well.
I have discovered that on a few channels, while trying to watch liveTV, I am getting audio but no video. If I record the show and play the recording back with npvr I get both video and audio. Both liveTV and recorded streams from that channel play fine with VLC. I have tried various decoders, but no difference. Any ideas?
I have added a group of Folders that reside on another machine to the "VIDEO" panel on this PC.
There are no art works for any of the programs within the folders. I would like to get the art works for each folder.
Typical folder naming and contents naming. --> (Folder) iZombie --> (File/s) iZombie S01E01 Pilot.mp4
or (Folder) iZombie --> (Folder) Series 1 --> (File/s) iZombie S01E01 Pilot.mp4
I have copied my NPVR.db3 and updated table Scheduled_recordings columns Name and FileName with the Folder names (as above).
Status has been set to "2" for each row.
I am using the copy Database to play in ...
SET SQLITE="c:/users/public/NPVR/Scripts/Utilities/sqlite3.exe" SET DB="C:\Tmp\npvr.DB3" SET IGLite="C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\ImageGrabLite.exe"
When I run IGL I get results for other programs that seem to be in EPG_EVENT
I have got to be missing something / lots of somethings :o
Quote:There are scripts to scan all files already posted and there is an option to add files with art to the recording library.
Do any of the scripts do what I'm attempting to do ???
I am using a Hauppauge 9500. I had it working with over the air connection, and decided to connect cable to it. I connected FIOS(Now Frontier... YUCK) to it and did a scan. It picked up clear channels and identified quite a few. When I try to view LIVE tv I receive "unable to find available capture device". I ran FilterCheck.exe and am attaching the FilterCheck.log. Any assistance would be GREAT.
Just in the last few weeks, NPVR will occasionally crash while watching a recorded show. This only happens on perhaps 1 out of 30 recordings. The last time it happened, it would crash again at exactly the same spot in the timeline. I had to skip past that part of the show manually to watch the rest of the show. I've attached the logs, plus I found a couple of errors in the application event log at the time of each crash.
On a perhaps related (or not!) theme, I'm also getting some recordings that only display a black screen when we try to watch them. However, they play perfectly via Media Player Classic. This is on perhaps 1 recording out of every 30. All shows are recorded from an HDHomeRun Prime.
And then again after I restarted NPVR and jumped back to where the recording had stopped playing. It crashed again at exactly the same place in the recording:
I have been told that entering a letter, say "v" will take me to "Vikings" then entering another letter ..... say "d" will take me to "Dead Like Me".
These actions fail (for me anyway).
Navigation via the mouse and up / down arrows work
Is this a "feature" or has navigation via letters not been implemented????
I wonder if it was possible to change the 10ft wide "Video" Screen (see below)
to the same format as the "Search" Screen (see below) and adding the search functionality...
The Left Panel for the "movie / series " as is and the Right Panel for Episodes not date.
Something like the Western Digital Live TV Player or Windows Explorer
