Symptoms on client:
In TV Guide, I watch an ongoing recording from start (it started about 15min before), stop watching, back in TV Guide, select the same program I get a Resume button.

However, if I skip to the end of the program while it is recording, 2-3 sec (from real time), stop watching, then when I select the program I do not get the Resume button.

I did read somewhere that NextPVR use a different path when watching live TV then when watching a recording. Is this possible that it use a different path when watching an ongoing recording near the end and then it does not update Playback position at some point?.

In the log, I watch TVA Nouvelles from start, exit, Resume available
Resume watching, skip to middle of the recording, exit, Resume available.
Resume watching, skip to the end of the recording, exit, Resume not available.
Exit NextPVR.

I have a problem with audio coming through to my NextPVR plugin at startup.

Sometimes it works just great, other times I must play around in SPMC (14.2) with the audio settings. What always fixes the audio is switching from passthrough enabled back to disabled. The channel restarts back up and plays the audio just fine. It happens no matter if the CH is 2.0 or 5.1 audio. It's very inconsistent, one night the audio is fine, the next night, same channel same program, audio gone.

I use a Colossus card in the back end with RGB input and SPDIF, source is a cable box. Android Minix X7 Box running SPMC. And here are my decoder settings.http://screencast.com/t/mxX5t85Ij3e I have played around with these settings, but nothing seems to solve the audio start up problems.

Thought I would start on this forum first rather than Kodi. (they usually send folks here anyway!). X-Newa plugin result is the same.

I seem to remember NEWA working in the past without issue. I'm using Mozilla Firefox. I have one NextPVR server and several clients.

I'm launching NEWA on a client machine on my local LAN. The behavior is the same regardless of which client(or localhost!) I use. The NEWA screen appears but shows no channel schedule. Not even the channel numbers in the selected group. I've attached logs that show an error for every channel in the channel group I wish to view. The TV Guide appears normal when I launch NextPVR on any machine, client or server. Also, If I change the channel group to all channels, NEWA only shows some of the channels in the group.

Can you help? Have I altered a setting somewhere?

Logs are attached. The web.log file has the errors I saw listed at the end at about 14:25.

Running openELEC Intel version (Isengard 15.2) and now updated to NextPVR 3.6.6 (on windows 7 ultimate 64bit). I believe the recording issue was working with the prior release of NextPVR, but since my recent upgrade the recordings no longer refresh until I a) turn off/on liveTV or b) reboot Kodi.

I get the recording show messages and recording complete messages and the show does record, however no indication on Kodi that it has recorded or available for playback.

So please can anyone put it direktly in the Plugin-section of NPVR....or...better hav an working update for NPVR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would hate to think how much money I have spent on DVB-S/S2 tuners over the last few years. All of them have either gone bad after a year or two of use, or the drivers have never been updated and I've had to buy new ones to support OS upgrades.

I need either a new dual or quad card (preferably PCIe). Other than TBS, does anyone have any suggestions for a new DVB-S2 card?

I have 3 HDHomeRun Connect boxes connected to a single antenna, so 6 tuners total. When I'm watching live TV via Kodi, NextPVR often steals the live TV's tuner for a scheduled recording, even though there are other tuners available, causing the TV to freeze with a Tuner No Longer Available message. NextPVR doesn't seem to be properly reusing tuners, often using 2 or more tuners for recording different shows on the same channel. Below is an example of this poor behavior, which I have tried to document as best as possible, with the logs from the evening of February 17, 2016:

It was smooth sailing until I changed the channel at 8 pm to PBS to watch NOVA. The live TV briefly changed channels, using the same tuner before and after the channel change, but then ended itself for some other reason. It was a simple matter of resetting Kodi and tuning back to the channel to successfully watch it. However, the live TV lease on the tuner was ended twice more that night before it was preempted by other recordings that shouldn't have preempted it, once at 9 pm and again at 10 pm. Here is a more detailed report:

Why wasn't the live TV stream leased to tuner 10422AD6-1, which was already tuned to the requested channel?

Scenario: 1 minute pre padding, 2 minute post padding. This is with one HDHomeRun Prime. One tuner is set to record from 9-11, a second is recording from 9-10. At 10 two shows on two new channels are set to record, one just takes the third tuner 1 minute before 10, the other keeps trying to allocate a tuner a few times a second, and finally succeeds right on the hour. While the tuner does swap channels and starts writing a new file as soon as the previous show is done, minus the post padding, the file for the 9-10 show continues to be written to, causing the file to have two minutes of another channel on it, this causes playback issues in third party players. Windows file details says the file is 10:02:16. In MPC-HC, which is my main player, I can not seek in the program, and in WMP, every section of the show is repeated, and VideoReDo complains about no data found. The way to fix this is to cut the last two minutes off of the recording, the stuff from after the channel switch, which I can do with an old program that only partially supports mpeg 2 TS files.

I realize that this is a byproduct of the multi-record feature, which is great, and the main reason I am using NextPVR over a different program, but would it be possible to disable it when the tuner has to swap channels?

8 GB of System RAM
Samsung 850 EVO mSATA 500GB SSD
2 each WinTV-dualHD USB TV Tuners (4 tuners total)

I am trying to find if NextPVR will support this configuration?

I can record one channel and watch another, but I never see the other tuner light up or activate itself

The goal is to be able to record 3 programs while watching a forth.

Any assistance on tuning to make this possibly work would be greatly appreciated.

I'm building a pvr with a laptop. I'm about 45 miles from towers. I bought a cheap USB tuner but it only gets about half the channels my tv gets (they are on the same splitter). So that's going back. Looking for something with a strong tuner. I'm thinking about:

HAUPPAUGE 1595
Pro - Well known name brand
Con - USB. Does tuner get enough power to pull in weak stations?

Or

HDHomerun Extend
Pro - I assume it plugs in to wall. More power for tuner?
Con - Expensive.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
