I'm having a problem when I'm done watching a recording and I either use an IR remote's Exit or Stop button or when right clicking the mouse and selecting Main Menu to get back to the main menu 99% of the time NPVR's window goes black with nothing happening and when I try to click on something (even though nothing is showing) Windows 10 says its not responding and I have to force it to close. Similar to that when I watch Live TV if I try to get back to the Main Menu without changing channels I get the same black screen as above. But in this case if I change channels and then go back to the original channel I can successfully get back to the Main Menu.
Everything else is working nicely so I'm very disappointed that I'm having this problem as I am so close to having NPVR becoming a good replacement for WMC. The system is a Dell Zino with a Hauppauge UBS TV tuner running Win 10 64 bit. I also have Haup's Win TV v8 installed and that runs with no problems. And lastly I have a desktop PC with the same software but Haup add-in card TV tuner and I do NOT get the black screen problem there!
My cable provider is using an od combination of MBd (6875), QAM (256) and Freq (starting as low as 306000 kHz), which means that I only can find 3 channels with a manual scan on Freq 306000.
Is it possible to edit a config file, to make NextPVR scan all Freq from 306000 and up, with MBd 6875 and QAM 256?
I'm looking or a little bit of help. I am running NPVR on Win 10 with a Ceton InfiniTV 4. A far as setup goes it pretty basic. All of my channels have worked from the start with no problem. But about a month again some of my channels started having problems. To give you an example, if I turn to Comedy Central (channel 772.1) NPVR hangs and then comes up with "The Tuner you were using was required for a recording" even though there is nothing else recording.
For the recording I have setup on this channel it creates the files, but they are 0KB. There are a few other channels that I have come across that are doing the same. All of my other recording work just fine.
My setup is simple: Windows 7 Ultimate - KODI - nextpvi
I am trying to record live tv from kodi. I do not have any other tuner in my PC.
I set up kodi to enable PVR Service. I also set nextpvr which seems to be connecting to the IPTV (getting Channel-1 udp://224.100.0.1:9050)
Yet, when I click on LIVE TV in nextpvr I get a black screen (I'm not sure what channel-1 is)
And the record icon in Kodi (the one in the form of a CD) is grayed out.
I've been running nPVR for a while now - currently on v3.5.7 under Win 7 using FreeSat.
From time to time the powers that be move one or more of the channels (Channel 5 is a recent case in point) and in the past I have emptied the EPG, deleted all the channels and done a scan to fix the problem.
The pin in that is having to go through the channels deleting all the rubbish.
I have a number of channels that are no interest to me, so I deleted them, however when I do a rescan they appear gain (as o would expect)... Is there a way to disable a channel? So that I can hide these channels but don't have to re-delete them after a re-scan??? I do appreciate that re-scanning channel is a regular task....
I have a small Dell Inspiron Zino PC that I use with my main TV to record OTA shows when my cable DVR is busy recording its max number of shows. The Dell had Win 7 with Win Media Center, an IR remote sensor and a Hauppauge USB TV tuner. All of the above worked great. The IR remote was able to start WMC, navigate within WMC and even exit with WMC telling Win 7 to shut down. But now I upgraded to Win 10 and WMC is no more!!
So I'm playing around with NPVR and I first tried it on my desktop PC and with some help from here got it working. Now its on the Dell and also working but I have a few questions.
The remote that came with the Dell and worked with WMC does work with NPVR so that is very good. However I saw an option in NPVR's settings to start NPVR with the green MCE remote button and I checked that option but when NPVR is not running and I click the green remote button nothing happens. But once I use the mouse to get NPVR running all of the buttons on the remote seem to work fine. Is there something else I have to do to get NPVR to start with the green remote button?
If I can get the above to work is there any way I can get NPVR to exit and shut down Win 10?
Im using the OTA guide from Servcedirect with a HDHR3-US and NEXTPVR rel 3.6.6
My TV guide works great.... with one exception: the listings for channel 2.1 are wrong. The are a duplicate of the listings for channel 2.2, which are correct for that channel.
How do I correct this problem?
Note: I chose to "merge duplicate channels" during the setup on NextPVR.
When scrolling through the Video folder structure, if a folder image exists it is displayed as a background image. If you scroll to another folder that does not have a folder image n the last found folder image remains as the background (rather than resetting to blank or the default). I'm saying folder image, but the correct description may be the landscape or poster image.
