The web interface to NPVR has stopped working since the last upgrade. It doesn't work on the server using localhost or the IP address, or across the network. The web client is checked in settings. Other applications with web interfaces (e.g. Sonarr, Plex) are still working. Turning the firewall off makes no difference.
The recording service is running.
Logs attached. Suggestions would be much appreciated.
refering to this thread, I'm currently having problems capturing HD content with my Avermedia H727 capture card.
Shortly said: the actual captured live video is only covering part of the screen (the rest is a green background).
The captured source is 1280 x 720, but the canvas appears to be 1920 x 1080, resulting in only part of the screen being filled. Can this be fixed somehow ?
Also, the CPU usage is very high when viewing live capturing through the Avermedia H727. I'm assuming this suggests software decoding is used ? Is there a way to activate hardware decoding ? Or is it an encoding issue ?
I first added FFDshow Tryout, but no codec appeared in the list of codecs. Then I installed K-lite Codec and set MPEG2 decoding to DXVA for LAV, and LAV video decoder appeared in the list. However, a warning appeared that some users might experience issues. The LAV decoder didn't result in lowering CPU usage either.
My processor is not a very powerful one (Intel Quad-Core Processor J1900), but it should have hardware acceleration for both decoding and encoding for both MPEG2 and H264.
One last question: there appears to be a lag of about 3-4 seconds between viewer-pc and NPVR-server. Is there a way to reduce this ?
I have my NPVR working good on one pc, but I want to have it set up on this other pc also. I am using the same AverMedia usb tuner I have used previously and it will work on this pc with WMC fine. I believe I have the file directories all set up and otherwise everything matches my working pc setup. I have a temp folder on the program drive just like the other pc for the buffer. It recognizes this tuner but clicking to scan gets me the unable to start device error. Tried restarts including the pc etc and still no go. Only thing I could think of possibly is that I am having a problem finding the newer driver for the device, but like I say it does work with WMC. Here is the zipped logs folder also. Thanks for any ideas. Maybe Iâm missing something simple.
I'm running Windows 10 - 64 bit, using Digital Devices C2/T2 v7. The idea is to use the DVB-C tuner.
In the DD-control center, I deactivated the WMC DVB-C tuner and the DVB-T tuner.
For some reason it fails to scan the device. In the log I can see
ConnectPins failed: hr = [number]
Failed to connect capture -> ts monitor
Alas I have no idea what this means or what I can do to fix this.
In attachment you can find the log and the filter check.
I decided to try and simplify my setup recently, so ditched some DVB-T tuners and now rely solely on a dual-tuner DVB-S. I was also getting all EPG data from DVBGuide (along with some post-processing of my own), but have now decided to abadon all that in favour of NPVR's built-in Freesat listings collection.
But... it's not working
I seem to get listings for about 40 of the 70(ish) channels I have, and weirdly it's for the first 40 (as the guide sees them), and then nothing.
I've tried running manually, via the System plugin, increasing the scan time, fiddling with the transponder frequency, etc....but the missing channels just won't fill in. Update during Live TV is disabled.
I've attached logs showing a scan, and my database too.
Hi there! I'm getting the schedule for all channels except channel 23.1. Before I installed v3.6.6 I was getting one day worth of programming, but now I'm not getting anything. I'm in south Florida, USA 33470. Pls help. Thx
I am having issues with my Intel NUC 54250 (Intel HD 5000 and Core I5 running Windows 10) and playing live tv through nextpvr, well through any other PVR for that matter. The only way I have a trouble free experience is via DLNA or the HDHomerun view app. When I use Kodi to view the live stream or NextPVR, I experience the same issue. http://imgur.com/5KCeQSE. You can see the line that cuts through her dress. These lines continuously show up at random and they are accompanied by audio glitches.
I have updated chipset drivers, audio drivers, graphics drivers, BIOS etc.....I have used a whole host of codecs. Nothing is issue free. Cyberlink PowerDVD 12 and 13 don't have the artifacts but are really slow and choppy. This machine is definitely powerful enough to serve as a backend. It is not an issue with reception because I have plus 90% on most channels. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've upgraded to the latest 3.6.6 and now my posters for the recordings are all wrong. An example is the TV series Bones. Prior to 3.6.6 (and without using the "Show new metadata screens in Recordings"), they worked fine. Now in version 3.6.6, the poster is for "Bag of Bones" from Stephen King and starring Pierce Brosnan. Another example is The Player. It appears to possibly be a movie about Ace Frehley.
Anyone else seeing incorrect artwork or know how to correct this? I tried messing with the new Artwork settings screen but no luck.
I have 4 tuners, but it seems the issue is synchronize to the start of the fourth recording on the server . when it happen it stops
the video reading on the client , and when trying again to access the video it says" connection refused by <server>:8968"
When I checked the recording , nothing seems to be recorded starting from that time. If I restart the NPVR Services on
the server then all the recording seems to work correctly. I put in attachment the log files for the server (doing the recording and answering to the client). I put also a file NPVR_client.log with the Error message on the client.
Off topic: I'm an ex Argus TV user giving NextPVR a shot. My first experience with the setup has been really good.
I love how simple it is to setup the devices, scan for channels, importing xmltv. Overall really pleased with the docs/wiki.
Now I'm busy trying to get my acamd config working with NPVR:
Multidec is enabled on my two tuners.
Placed FFDecsa.dll in "C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR"
Placed my acamd config files in the generated folders:
e.g. "C:\Users\Public\NPVR\MDPlugins\Digital Devices DVB-S_S2 Tuner 1 #1-1" contains:
ACamd.dll
ACamd.ini
cardclient.conf
chcache.ini
I copied these files from my Argus setup, they worked perfectly i.c.w. MDAPI Plus.
Start NRecord.exe with RUN param to get more verbose output (found this on the forums somewhere).
Code:
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR"
./NRecord.exe RUN
Start live TV on encrypted channel:
Message window pops up: "Unable to find ffdecsa.dll"
Note:
- Without manually running "NRecord.exe RUN" the NPVR.exe app freezes when switching to an encrypted channel
- While this message is shown I see a taskbar icon for "acamd v0.6.2.0 monitor" and for "N-PVR Multidec"
Log files from NPVR are not showing the exact location where NPVR is looking for ffdecsa.dll, but AFAIK I did put it in the correct location as mentioned before.
I tried the 32_INT and 64_MMX versions of FFDecsa because these are the fastest filters according to the test app. Both times renamed the file to ffdecsa.dll before placing it in the NPVR installation directory. FFDecsa dll's + test app: https://mega.nz/#!Kgw1XByC!KskFGzvYBQHOT...08ntg17OJ0
P.S. Topic title could/should have been better but I pressed post too early - my bad :-)
