One Channel Not Found in Scan
Posted by: jcharlesmith - 2015-11-13, 04:53 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

I have a scanning issue that I do not know how to solve. I am missing at least one channel that I know should be found because I can view it on my other TV with a cable box. It should be channel 125 (SD) or 625 (HD). There are channels around it so I assume the scanning is set up right.

I went to check C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning\QAM\ to see if that channel was being skipped but I am not sure which .ini it is using.

Any suggestions?

Problem with Bulk Map and Schedules Direct
Posted by: GlamRockCowboy - 2015-11-12, 11:55 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (27)

Recently, after obtaining a cableCARD from Comcast, I bit the proverbial bullet and downgraded my system from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 7 Ultimate. The drivers for my Ceton infinitv 4 USB installed without any difficulty, since I now have Windows Media Center installed. The problem arose when I installed the current version of nextPVR, and began the process of configuration When I entered the details for the first channel, including selecting the appropriate lineup from Schedules Direct, to my display, the Bulk Mapping dialog I had been expecting failed to appear! I have been totally unable to get the bulk mapping feature to work, even after uninstalling the program and manually the nextPVR directory which contained the nextpvr.db3 database! Unless this can be corrected, much as I hate to say this, I'm just about ready to give up on nextPVR, and stick with WMC. HELP!!

Dual Core processor-can not find device
Posted by: RTKAT - 2015-11-12, 05:10 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (12)

Desktop computer has a dual core processor. There are two recordings ongoing at this time and when attempting to watch a live channel, I receive the notice the capture device cannot be found. After recordings finish, that channel is found without any problem. Is this something that would be normal for this computer or should I attempt it again and submit the logs? Comskip would be operating at the same time. Overload?

  Avermedia 7231 Analog Capture support
Posted by: rhf1959 - 2015-11-12, 02:34 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (9)

Hello,

I am using windows 10 with an Avermedia 7231 analog capture/tv tuner card. I used to have it running on windows 7 with Windows Media Center. However, there was no WMC in Windows 10.

I have looked just about all over the internet trying to find a solution to be able to watch tv again on my Avermedia 7231 card.

This search brought me here and I have the latest version of NextPVR installed. Under settings/devices I see an Avermedia 7231 DVB-T Tuner. From readings the forums I was to install SoftPVR to get the analog version of my Avermedia card. I downloaded WinTV7 and 8 from the Hauppauge website. Next I ran the SoftPVR batchfile softpvr.bat as administrator to get the correct settings. It extracted several .ax and .dll files from the archive.

Unfortunately the settings/devices still only shows the DVB-T version of my card and not the analog version that was supposed to be added to the list.

Honestly, I am real tired after hours of reading, installing, reinstalling, uninstalling, etc. I am living in The Netherlands and get my analog tv from cable. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Regards
René

  No data delivered
Posted by: Sheik Yerbouti - 2015-11-11, 06:13 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (8)

My setup is quite solid, but sometimes I get 0 bytes recordings with the "No data deliverd" message. Restarting the recording service seems to fix it. In my logs I see the following line:

Code:
2015-11-11 13:39:00.176 [DEBUG][103] Unexpected error on DVB-C put_TunerRequest: 0x8000FFFF

Recordings that are OK do not have this line in the logs. The logs are attached.

Images in lists using a lot of memory
Posted by: cncb - 2015-11-11, 05:26 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (4)

If I display images in an icon list an unexpected large amount of memory is being consumed.

For example, I created a test plugin which shows the same image in 100 items, each one loaded by a separate System.Drawing.Image.FromFile(). The image is a jpeg only 224 KB big, but NPVR consumes over 500 MB of memory displaying them in a list. Any ideas what is causing this? Does scaling the image for display consume a lot of memory?

I can, of course, use IGetImageCallback but reloading the images each time causes delayed scrolling/paging.

  Support for Hauppauge DCR-2650
Posted by: Spid4567 - 2015-11-11, 01:56 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

Hello!

I am currently running WIN7 with the Hauppauge DCR-2650 DVR cable card box. This runs great under Windows Media Center. I would like to upgrade my system to Windows 10, but Windows Media Center will not be included in WIN 10. Can I use NextPVR with the DCR-2650? I installed the sotware last night, but was not able to get it to view any of the TV channels. Is there a way to scan the channels?

Thanks in advance!

Unable to find available capture device
Posted by: bost05 - 2015-11-10, 05:00 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (7)

I have been using NextPVR for about 2 years now and have had great results. I use an Avermedia A188 dual tuner card and have not had any recent significant changes to the computer or software running it (that I'm aware of). Running Windows 10 also. Suddenly around October 15th I noticed that my scheduled recordings were not being recorded. I also noticed that when I try to watch Live TV in NextPVR, it gives me the "Unable to find available capture device" message.

Using the Avermedia MediaCenter software, I am able to watch live TV just fine, so I'm pretty sure it is not a problem with the tuner card or drivers, etc. In the NextPVR settings>Devices, the tuner card is shown as present and as enabled, so it is being detected.

I just tried scheduling a manual recording, and that worked flawlessly, even though I cannot view live TV or have my recurring program recordings work.

What else might be wrong here?

My log files are attached. I appreciate the help.

"Unable to find a version of the runtime"
Posted by: dixxfixx - 2015-11-09, 08:08 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (5)

I'm trying to set up NMT on another computer and the NMTInstall seems to have completed successfully, but when I run NMTChecker it gives me this. What have I missed? What runtime?
