Fixed. Needed the AC3 codec, set it to 5.1 out and bingo - surround sound

With respect to upgrading PowerDVD, you either need the full-version, or alternatively if you only require the decoders (for gbpvr), then download the Cole2K codec pack which contains the full version decoders and search this forum for the gbpvr registry patch for the Cyberlink decoders. However please note that while the decoders work fully on gbpvr, PowerDVD OEM spits the dummy and will not work correctly with the full version decoders.

I was having alot of trouble with my system, and had to start over. Since I was only in the 30 day trial of Nvidia PureVideo, I'd like to try this out.

I have installed Cole2k, with cyberlink.

But, the registry mod's to turn on 5.1, and spdif, seem to be eluding me. Do you have a link?

Spidf out is used with an external decoder box (sorround sound system). Is this what you have?
