I just installed my new PVR 250 and was trying to get it to work with GB-PVR and can't get the remote to work. I have the IR.exe installed and running, I have it selected in the channel changer and it works with the wintv 2000 software. Anyways, also how do you change to capture setting for the custom1 and custom2 that come up when you want to record something?

If you havn't restarted since you installed GB-PVR then IR.exe probably hasn't picked up the new settings (that contain settings for controlling GB-PVR). There is a Hauppauge menu option for restarting IR.exe.

In the Config app, edit the capture source, then edit the recording source. At the bottom you can select to edit the quality settings for Custom1/2/etc.

Hey Sub,

Just a thought. The fact that the recording quality settings are part of the recording sources implies that you are able to set a recording quality for each recording source and that is not the case. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I think the quality settings are independent of the recording sources. What I was missing at first was that the recording quality is selected at the time the recording is scheduled or when you start LiveTV. LiveTV is always done at the LiveTV quality setting, no matter which recording source is used. Recordings are made at the quality setting that you select when you schedule the recording.

Maybe the quality settings should be a separate tab and not part of each recording source screen.

Thanks, I will give it a try when I get home. Although I have restarted and even used the restart ir.exe thing. Other than that it is working great. Much better quality than I was getting with my crappy ATI AIW.
