2 scanning / mapping problems.

I'm just getting to grips with GB-PVR, but I have 2 problems remaining :

1) Having gone down the XMLTV route, I have everything as I want it except for BBC3 and 4. I've read the various threads on this and tried the following :

if you scanned during the day you map as follows:-

CBeebies = CBeebies
BBC4 = CBeebies
CBBC = CBBC
BBC3 = CBBC

having done that, CBBC / CBEEBIES are OK during the day. BBC3 / BBC4 are audio-only in the evening.

Can I fix this or should I just do a rescan this evening?

Which leads me to my other problem....

2. Since upgrading to the latest release yesterday, the program crashes at the end of a scan (on Mux 6 of 6). I get the generic Windows "Config.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" box. The click here link leads me to the following:

Any ideas anyone??

I had the same problem. It might be fixable, but it was easiest just to rescan in the evening.

Interesting because I recorded something on BBC3 for the first time last night and it was audio only. Have to say, i'd never tried before.

I'll rescan this evening too to see if that sorts it out.

The problem I have is that I'm not sure if the re-scan is actually succeeding before it crashes. I'll try tonight.

I may revert to the previous release and see if that fixes things.

It seems to. Mine also crashes on the two tuners that I've tried so far but in each case, when config has finally died fully, I can go back in and map the BBC3 and BBC4 without a problem.

Same here. The slightly annoying thing is that every time I do a scan, it screws up the mapping on half of the channels, so I have to go back and re-map them.

Still, it's all working now. The only problem I have is stuttering playback, which is solved by doing a ctr-alt-delete then cancel... Don't ask why!
