Remote control during .mp3 playback?

I am experiencing what I would deem a problem when trying to listen to .mp3 files through the music library. I can't seem to fast forward or rewind .mp3 files via the remote. I am using the Hauppauge remote that works fine for my video playback.

It's obviously not a huge problem, but if it would work that sure would make my life much nicer while trying to listen to the many podcasts I listen to. Too often they ramble about crap I would rather just fast forward through.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

That is the correct behaviour. There is no support for fastfoward/rewinding music.

If you don't mind me asking, purely from a curiousity standpoint but why does it not work? I thought I understood that media player is what was being used for audio and video playback so I guess I thought if the remote can control media player for video wouldn't it be the same thing for audio?

Obviously thats not the case, and I am not complaining, I am just kinda curious in learning more about GBPVR and all.

It doesnt work because I havnt written code to do it. It wouldnt just happen automatically. I would need to come up with the user interface (keyboard/remote controls etc) to interpret the users intentions, then call the appropriate Microsoft APIs to implement this behaviour.
