Hi All,

I've run into a new problem since I changed from using the Intervideo decoder (WinDVD 7) to the Cyberlink decoder (PowerDVD 5 w/patch). Not that this is necessarily a Cyberlink decoder issue, as the problem appears on live TV playback as well as DVD playback, and I believe the TV playback uses the Intervideo NonCSS decoders (PVR-150). But anyway, since changing to the Cyberlink decoder, whenever I wake the machine from standby and go to play a DVD or watch live TV, the playback is jerky, like it is occasionally skipping several frames. If I reboot the machine, all returns to normal. If I let the machine go to sleep and resume, playback is messed up again. Any ideas where I should be looking to fix? (aside from shutting of standby of course ;-)

Thanks!

A little more info:

I leave GBPVR running all the time. It's set to run on the secondary display. If the machine goes into standby while GBPVR is running, when I wake it up and go to play TV or DVD in GBPVR the playback is extremely jerky. If I exit GBPVR and start it up again things return to normal. I have tried changing the quartz.dll as suggested in other threads for playback issues, but doing this has no effect on the problem. Any help appreciated...

I don't know what's going on with your codecs, but as a workaround you could use wake.cmd to shut down gbpvr and restart it every time the computer wakes from hibernate...

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for the suggestion. I will use this until I can get ahold of some newer codecs.
