I have installed the latest version of GBPVR, and am having some difficulties getting the ATI TV Wonder VE card working.

I have modified the direct.ini according to the instructions for "Add A Card", by adding this section:

[ATI TV Wonder VE]
INIT_MODE=DEFAULT
INIT_MSP=0
CONEXANT=1
FILTER_CROSSBAR=ATI TV Wonder AV Crossbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=ATI TV Wonder Capture
FILTER_TV_TUNER=ATI TV Wonder TV Tuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=ATI TV Wonder TV Audio
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_CAPTURE_OUT=Video/Muxed Out
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input

This was copied from the existing ATI eHome Wonder section, and then modified with the values that I found using GraphEdit. I then selected the card in Config, changed appropriate settings, and saved config. When I start Live TV, it appears to find the card, but does not start the live feed.

In GBPVR.exe-native.log, I see this:

Can someone give me some advice on what to do to correct this? I am attaching the config, log, and screen shot of filters from GraphEdit. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Don

Sorry, but you wont be able to get this card to work with GB-PVR by adding a section to direct.ini. Your only chance of getting working is with the software encoder plugin discussed here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=2753

Just wondering, why is that? It seems the card is very similar to others (eHome Wonder VE), and has the Philips Tuner and Conexant chip.

Thanks.

Its missing the required MPEG-2 encoder hardware.

I had thought (maybe mistakenly) that the Conexant 25878(?) chip on the card is the hw encoder, and that the Philips assembly is the decoder. And that this card is similar to the ATI eHome Wonder in that respect. Where did I go wrong...?

Thanks.

No, this is just an old 878 card with no hardware encoding.
