Changing satellite commericals without remote

Ok I have a Dish Network receiver. Like a lot of 150 cards, my ir device is not functioning, it worked for a while, but now is pretty much dead. I dont really care about using the remote since I will be right there anyways lol. Is there any way to change the satellite channel without the use of a remote?

Without using an IR Blaster? No, not usually. Some set top boxes have serial ports that can used with a serial cable to send channel change requests, but I couldnt tell which set top boxes these are (its a very very small list though).
