Has anyone installed Timmmore's firewire channel-changer program without MCE? I downlaoded the firewire zip file for it but when I try to install it installation fails & it complains I'm not running MCE (I'm running a non-MCE version of XP).

Also, has anyone gotten the Timmmore program to actually change channels with GBPVR once was installed? If so, could someone please tell me the steps involved? I have a SA 3250HD box with firewire ports.

Thanks!!!

This is what is in the readme file in the version I am using

Quote: Modified installer to re-instate MCE check but have a command line parameter to override check: msiexec /i firestb.msi IDENT=”1” will install on a non-MCE machine

I have! I will have to dig through what all I had to install. DO you have anything working via firewire yet? Do you have the drivers installed?

My box is pretty far from my pvr, so I had to order a firewire extension cable which should hopefully be here next week, but I got the Timmmore stuff installed (thanks to the previous poster!). If you wouldn't mind outlining the steps from there that would be great - thanks!!!!!
