Hey guys, im a new user, but i need some help Smile Recently i purchased a "Wintv 2000xp" tv tuner. (i know i know, supposedly it isn't supported by GB-PVR). I installed the tuner which came with a program called Winfast PVR. (this was crap, because it doesnt have a schedule system, or way to record). I understood that my card "isn't supported" but i installed a few drivers that were suggested to get it to work. When i open the configure menu i can choose from "WDM recorder plugin" and when i look under settings i can find and select my card. Also i selected the "zap2it" option which installed and loaded correctly. So i open up my GB-PVR program and the tv program guide (EPG) works fine. But then whenever i go to "live TV" it does not give me an error message or anything, but all it displays is a blue screen and no sound. i assume that this means that recording tv will not work either.

i assume this is a problem decoding the incoming tv signal from the card. either that or a mpeg decoder problem.

can anyone help me out with this problem? (if i have to attach logs, you might have to instruct me how to do so)

PS (tv works with the included program, but just displays a blue screen when i try to watch tv in GB-PVR) any thoughts?

Sorry, I dont provide any support for this type of card.

You could try posting your question in the 'WDM Recorder Plugin' thread, but I'm not sure the author is still around.

sounds like your selected input is wrong...[like selecting composite video in when s-video is hooked up] or are using the 'tune to specific channel' option and aren't on right channel...
double check in config, the input on capture card setup..
and post in that plugin's support thread..you'll get more help from peeps that use it..Smile
