Card:
AverMedia UltraTV1500MCE

PICTURE

Frys Ad

Recording Source:
Direct Recording Plugin

Capture card type:
AverMedia AverTV Video Capture (M113 wit

Both the Video and FM tuner work great.

I didn't know where else to post the this information so I did it here under support. I searched the forums for the Avermedia 1500 but everything said it didn't work. Those posts were from last year though.

I picked one up from Frys (electronic store) that had been returned for $55. The card is fantastic and works flawlessly.

For the best mpeg2 playback on my geforce2 pro video card I used the video codec pack from http://www.free-codecs.com and selected the GPL MPEG-1/2 Decoder. Works fantastically on my p4 1.6.

Stephen

P.S. If this post should go somewhere else please move it.

Actually...

Looking at that driver page that I found, there looks to be two versions of the card, which may explain the earlier negative posts and now your positive result? could you post the version of the card/drivers you are using in case anyone else is trying to follow your initial post?

I'm using the version of the card the has and Composite Video IN. The other version doesn't have that. If you look at the link on the webpage it's the one on the right. The driver I'm using is UltraTV 1500 MCE (Version 2.1.0.41) .

I don't know if the other one will work with GB-PVR.
