Ok, I gotta ask. Is this multidec stuff decrypting while recording or while replaying? I was under the assumption that it was while recording, but when you guys write about playback being choppy because of it then I'm starting to think that might not be so.
I'm not always right

The multidec-plugins are used to decrypt a received signal whilst recording or live-tv. Live-tv means displaying a received signal in the same moment. Recording means writing the received signal an the disk and display it later.

Seems like Cyberlink is the one muxchecker can find.
But I guess MS DVR should work as well.
sub Wrote:You'd probably have to say which multidec plugins you're using, because they're all very different.

I'm trying to use Wincsc plugin.

WinCSC works smoothly for me on my production 2.8GHz machine on an Irdeto2 DVB-C setup.

CPU load about 50% now, using ffdshow and MS DVR. Still choppy. I mean REALLY choppy. Do you still think it's an CPU issue? I'm having a hard time beliving that.

To sum up:
- OK CPU load
- Great pic when not using mdapi
- As soon as mdapi enabled, choppy, greenscreen aso.
-It doesn't matter WHAT plugin i put in the mdapi folder or if i even leave it empty. Still the same result.

Any more ideas would be geatly appreciated.
I will try it all on a different hardware, with a different DVB-T card as well (although it will probably be a BDA variant as well). If I find anything I'll let you know.
