Its dying in dvdvideo.ax, which is the Fraunhofer Video Decoder. I'm guessing if you uninstall this your problem will go away.

Hmmm....now it seems to be freezing instead of crashing and more frequently. The video just stops playing and it remains in a frozen state on screen.

The following files were created upon freezing, do they provide any useful info? there's also a hdmp file that I removed because it's about 12 megs...Thx

Sorry, no. I dont make earlier versions available. I think its a decoder or something though, not GB-PVR itself.
