Listings problem 1.08

I have done several clean installs and always get this problem. When listings are shown, blocks of them are greyed out so that they are very difficult to read, seem to select ok though. Also the MCE remote or keyboard will will not move the on screen cursor left or right, only up and down at the current time position.
I have also noticed the the community skin locks up if you open the weather plugin, standard blue skin is ok in this respect. Any advice would be most welcome.

Can you post a screenshot?

If you press left/right several times, does it eventually move?

I couldnt tell you anything about that one. The skin is probably missing an image or something similar.
