I'm going to be getting a MediaMVP and a PVR150MCE. Since I'll be using the MedaiMVP remote control I don't need to get the PVR150 correct. I can just get the PVR150MCE. It appears that the only difference between the two is the PVR150 comes with a remote and the PVR150MCE assumes you'll be using the remote from Media Center and therefore don't need a remote.

That true, if you wont need the remote for the PC, then you can get that model. The Sub has already verified the 150's work with the current GB-PVR version, you will just be stuck to default record quality and a few other options with the card until the next release comes out in a few weeks.

I am using the 150MCE with the MediaMVP. I just use the MediaMVP remote and everything works fine (except the previous posters mention of the recording quality stuck at 'default' untill full 150 support is added by Sub).

mikeg22...

What drivers are you using with the 150MCE? I just added one to my system as a second capture source but GB-PVR won't use it. It seems to know it's there but when I force it to the 150 it tells me the recording service isn't available. The other source still works fine. It works great with the Hauppauge TV app so the card is OK. I tried the drivers that came with it and the drivers from the Hauppauge site but same result either way.

Thanks...

zed, I've just looked at your logs again. You need to set *both* cards as device number #1. Only increment this number if you have multiple cards of the same type.

Zed,

I'm just using the drivers that came with the 150. It works fine for me but I only have one recording source...

I updated my drivers off the shpvr site but still have issues when trying to use both cards at the same time, even after setting both cards to the same device number. Either one by itself is fine but when one starts, the other stops (and sometimes the second one then displays what the first one was showing rather than what it's supposed to). I sent the logs to sub but he's probably busy with the next release, which is cool (and perhaps will fix the problem).

Since my wife & kids discovered GB-PVR and how cool it is, esp. with the MVP box, we've been havng more recording conflicts, hence the second card. If I had another slot, I'd probaby get another one...the 150MCE's are pretty cheap but seem to work fine.

I'm sure we'll work it out eventually...
