I have two A180 cards that should work in at the same time. I had it working somewhat several months back with an older version of GBPVR.

If I have the two cards in the system at once, neither card seems to decode a signal from the air. They show a good signal strenght, but just don't decode the channel at all. If I remove one of them (it doesn't matter which) then it starts to work fine.

My setup is Windows XP Pro with SP2 installed. .NET 1,1 & 2.0 with all the uptodate patches installed.

With both cards installed, Windows detects both cards and doesn't give any error or !.

I know that it has worked fine in the past, but it just won't work with this version. I have tried to uninstall and re-install to no avail.

I did have it getting a signal with both cards installed under Win2K but it wouldn't record to the hard drive. I fixed that with moving over to XP but now I have this problem.

Is this something easy to fix? What do I need to provide to help solve this issue?

YEP..

Even if you only have one card specified inside the Config, so GBPVR only is configured for a single card, it will detect a signal strenght, but not the channel.

So inside the config, when scanning through the channels to see what is out there, it will count up from channel 2 to 69, and every channel that has signal strenght will show up on the graph for signal strenght and quality, but it will not recognize that it is a channel, nor will it pull down the channel name.

As I am in Toronto, channel 14 is for WUTV (Fox29). It shows 100% signal strenght, but then just continues counting up to 15..16..17.. etc. and never pulls down that it was an availible channel.

It does this in XP. I put back in my older drive that has Win2K installed, and with the exact same software install, it detects all the channels perfectly with both cards installed.

It has to be some issue with XP that I am clueless to.

Those drivers referenced are acient. The newest drivers (A180_WHQL_Drv_V3.5.0.44_x32 ) support multi card installs. If you had 6 PCI slots, you could install 6 of their cards. My board only has two and so I have two cards. (and don't see a need for any more)

This doesn't explain why it detects the channels in Win2K but not in XP.

I am just looking to get something that works. Is there a way to turn on some logging and send you what is going on in the back end?

check to see if they are using the same irq number very hard to to change in xp
from what you are saying it sounds like gbpvr is trying to use both at the same time
