Remote not working with GB-PVR/PVRX2 MCE - Irtans/ IMon

Hi,

You state that you have some bat fiels for Smartie.

Do you have some that tell what Video is playing and TV channel etc... Simiar to iMONVFD!

You seem to know what your doing! :-)

I'll have to look into these for what I want but it sounds like they will be ideal. Basically I need something inbetween IRTrans possibly using HIP so that I can put data to the display via smartie. I need to just play with it all and see whats possible.

I guess the IR in the HD160 has to be used with the Zalman remote?

I did have a play with the IMON plugin, but it wasn't for me.

The .bat files are run from gbpvr, parallelprocessing.bat, postprocessing.bat, recordingstatus.bat they populate some text files that smartie is continually scanning and sending to the VFD. I mainly use the VFD to show what programs are recording and whats pending, saves having to goto the PVRX2 recording window to find out.

Re. Remote. I assume if IRTrans knows about the remote it would probably work with any, it just needs to know what IR send code means what.

I like your use of the batch files - I assume it works by getting the recording names using the post and parallel processing bats and the status batch I guess to read the info and send the data to LCD smartie.

Very creative.

I was thinking of doing something along those lines as a plugin but I want it more flexible, hence I have to write my own.

I just loaded LCDSmartie and tried both the imond and imon dll's. but neither make the screen do anything.
When I use imon.dll and set the path I just get a box that says failed to open device.

Any Ideas?

I have the HD160 plus box.

On mine I use 5.4.1 with the irtrans.dll, as I make changes so it updates on the VFD directly. I think you have to download the irtrans seperately

Ah - ok so I have to install IRTrans and then point LCDSmartie to that dll.

What size do you set the screen? It is actially 16x96 pixels - what is that in LCDSmartie talk?

Is there a way to control the icons round the display?

Ok - thanks, I guess the interface to them are going to be quite different - looks like I may be out of luck unless I write my own.
