If I'm watching live TV, I only get information about the program when I switch channels and that's it. If I hit the blue button or ctrl-b nothing happens. If I pause it, it comes up though. Is this normal?

It works fine during recordings. I'm using VMR9 FSE if that helps.

What information were you expecting to see? It doesnt show a timeline when you're in live preview mode.

Show information (synopsis, etc.), timeline, station. It pops up when I switch channels but I can't make it come up while I'm watching. Under recordings, the blue button will make it come up.

I think there might of been a bug in 1.1.5 that causes this. Its definitely working for me in the next release (due in a couple of weeks).

Awesome, thanks. I didn't know we had a new release coming so soon. I love this product!

I also notice that there is no buffering until I hit pause while watching a channel live, then after that I can rewind. I am wondering if that's the intended mode of operation. On the cable company DVRs, they buffer right when you switch into a station. I'm not saying that is preferable, just curious what's the intended mode of operation.

Yes, that is the intended behaviour. I prefer not to have my hard drive to be written to continuously, and prefer to have faster channel changing.

You can disable live preview mode on the misc tab of the config app if you prefer to have it buffering all the time. This will of course mean slower channel changes and more wear'N'tear and load on your equipment.

Nice. That's what I figured. I totally agree Sub, less wear and tear is better.
