From telnet run the linux equivalent of the dir command
ls -lt
One of the reasons I wanted this confirmed is that in one of the recent sample (and I'm not sure it was you) someone had modified startmeup to run from a non-default location or file name.
If you are sure that you are running the new version could you power off mvpmcx2 back to gaya and get me a screen capture of telnet trying to play tom & jerry after running the following
killall gaya
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 720
