new to gbpvr - liveTV problem

I have an AGP port and no PCIe slots so would an ATI Radeon 9550 w/ 256MB DDR suffice?

The nvidia 6600 I mentioned is available in AGP models. I'm not sure how good/bad the ATI 9550 is with HD material.

I ended up purchasing the ATI Radeon 9550 (for $29 it wasn't a big risk). I just installed it and preliminary testing (through 10 minutes), no lost frames that I've seen... My proc is averaging 80% while watching live TV... not sure what other people have seen. Thanks for the help!

ok - good to hear you got it working. Some of the more recent cards, like the 6600 I mentioned, have on board HD acceleration and should only use about 10% CPU. Many of the earlier cards were only capable of accelerating DVD resolutions.
