Is there a way to turn subtitles off in a movie through GBPVR if it's not in the movies menu?

Are you talking about DVD playback? you should be a press the Green (Ctrl-G) or Yellow (Ctrl-Y) key to toggle through the subtitle options. I cant remember which.

That's what I was looking for. Actually it's a movie ripped to the hard drive but it's a TS file so it should behave the same as a DVD. Correct?

If its a TS file, then I doubt its GB-PVR showing the subtitles, so unlikely that those keys will do anything.

So, ctrl-g worked for changing the audio track but ctrl-y didn't seem to have any effect on the subtitles.
Just for giggles on my other PC (still using GBPVR as well) i tried playing the same file over the network and it played without the subtitles. Used cntrl-y and it was able to turn them on and off so it's not the file. It could be the crappy Belkin Mediapilot keyboard on that PC not sending sending the right signal though. I've had trouble with the shift key not working to capitalize things it could be that the cntrl key is also not working either. I really have to replace that thing. I have the MCE remote and it doesn't have the colored buttons on it so i don't have any way of testing this theory out. I'll have to see if I can dig up an old keyboard and see if that works.

As mentioned above, its probably not from GB-PVR, so pressing Ctrl-Y wouldnt do anything. If its from VobSub or haali splitter or other third party directshow decoder, then they may have their own keystrokes for this type of stuff. Play the file then zip and attach the pvxr2.exe-native.log and I'll look at the list of directshow filters being used. |
