I'v played a bit with Windows in a virtual machine under Linux and also managed to get GBPVR running under windows in that environment. It is NOT an easy ready-to-go task, among other considerations one must run windows from its own HD (or partition), and not all graphic drivers will work with the bios in the virtual machine.
It is possible, but not recommended, it is slow so you need a faster cpu, and you will have to let the windows VM almost "take over" the whole system. AND, windows is not more stable in a VM, windows is still windows.
My advice: Forget it.
