I'm sorry that I wasn't clearer.

Indeed, if the work is already done, then the operation to alter and delete will fail, because it is already done. That's why I said, you can run it a hunderd, but it only needs to once.

I believe the key is the emptying of the table, so that the data type can changed

Anyway, the type of error you got seemed like you did not copy the contents of the zip into the gb-pvr folder.

OK, changed Delete to del, seems to have gone a bit further ... BUT now an error with the path?

I made an error. The second delete reference that's all by itself shouldn't be there. I'll be fixing it...

Sorry...

No worries.

I did copy these all into the GBPVR folder though.

According to the output he posted, he already had those database changes, which is what I'd expect since the 1.3.7 installer makes these same changes. There was a situation with 1.2.13 that could cause this, but the 1.3.7 install should have fixed any database without these changes, and from lack of reports I'm pretty sure it has resolved it (or at least for the majority of people).

It's interesting that my ex had not used 1.2.13, and when I updated her to 1.3.7 started having thr trouble. The batch solved the resuming on the MVP...

I recently moved to a new computer (using XP) and upgraded to the latest version of GBPVR.
Files that I had viewed on the previous version still have a resume button, and they show a green indicator of having been viewed on the side.
Files not previously viewed do not have an indicator, and when stopped and then I go to restart them they do no have a resume button (when you hit play they just start from the beginning).
I believe I copied over the data bases from the older version. Is it possible my databases missed some change that should have been made as part of the upgrade process. (This would make some sense because I have another computer where I also installed and then copied over the databases and have the same type of issue of no resume).
GB-PVR is a great product.

Go ahead and run the batch file. It won't hurt anything. I have seen your issue before and it seemed to solve with the batch...

I was reluctant to run the batch file since it says it is for an MVP, and I am not running an MVP. So what I did was uninstall 1.3.7, reinstall 1.2.13, the reinstalled 1.3.7 over that. The theory was that the upgrade would make the changes to the database, and it seems to have, because the resume has now appeared on my system that is based on mpg.
I did not have such luck on my system that is using dvr-ms.

While the problem creeps up with some MVP users (and as sub says, it IS rare), the problem is releated to the GB-PVR database which is located on your recording machine... So therefore the batch isn't MVP specfic.

The batch will not do anything destructive other than remove any proviously stored playback position points.

If it can fix something, it will, if it can't it won't. Running it won't hurt, so it's worth a try...
