Hi all.
I'm running into th same problem.
I've tried using the FFShow codecs, but they produced a fuzzy picture.
I've tried the InterVideo and CyberVideo codecs, but the lock up GBPVR. I've tried the recommended codec packs, as well, (after uninstalling FFShow). These were unstable on my machine and hung LiveTV after a few minutes.
It's NOT the VMR9/7/Overlay settings. I've tried all 3 for each codec.
I Have noticed that the picture quality for some codecs (Specifically, KLite) is better than others, when it works.
Therefore, it is NOT a cable thing either.
Here's my setup:
P4 3.4 GHz
WinXP SP2
Latest GBPVR
WinTV USB2
nVidia GF4 with svideo TV out.
Latest nVidia drivers.
Vid card is running duelview (Monitor on head1, TV on head2 via TV out)
I can drag stuff on my desktop from the monitor to the TV and back.
I do this with GBPVR. I start it on the primart monitor, drag it to the TV side, ALT-ENTER to maximize it and away we go.
However, using this setup, LiveTV and Recordings would freeze up when started, depending of the codec chosen. Only FFShow worked consistantly. It's problem was that it produced a fuzzy picture.
Does anyone have any idea what would cause the freezing?
Thanks!
