I just did a much needed processor, ram, mobo upgrade only to find out that I may have screwed myself. As I have come to understand it the Hauppauge PVR-150 cannot work on a system with more than 4 gigs of RAM. I looked through some old posts and nobody else seems to offer a whole lot of insight.

I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and maybe could offer some advice?

If not, what is another good, cheap card that will let me use Vista x64 with 4+ gigs of ram?

There is a post on the UK Hauppauge forum that talks about this. It notes that Hauppauge will offer an exchange for a 1600 card for some money. I am not sure if this is true or how much it would cost. I ran into the same issue but am really just using the Vista box as a client so its no big deal for now. If you contact Hauppauge, let us know how it works out. Good luck.

Well they should save themselves some money. I downloaded version 4.6b of the WinTV driver CD (only available on the UK Website for some ridiculous reason) and it fixed it. Not sure how, not sure why, but it works...

I can't take credit, though. The idea came from here:
http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...ostcount=8

He didn't have any luck, but mine apparently works. I'll post back if I have any future problems.

P.S. Not only does the UK site seem to have the newest drivers, but the drivers from that site were a million times easier to install. It made the current US drivers feel like you're working a command line!

Well it seems I may have jumped the gun. The drivers helped, and sometimes it works, but most times it barely plays anything. I'm going to try to look into the exchange for a 1600 card.
