There is an error message is an error show, which I'm pretty sure is why you're not seeing any results.

Quote:2009-03-13 09:22:08.649 ERROR [1] Failure in DoShowNameSearch(): IErrorInfo.GetDescription failed with E_FAIL(0x80004005)
Unfortunately I'm not really sure what the error message means. The "IErrorInfo.GetDescription failed with E_FAIL(0x80004005)" of this is coming fro the database provider.

I've attached an updated version which will log a bit more info. Reproduce the problem and repost the pvrx2.exe.log.

Sub,

Here's the log from the updated version. I took the same steps as before, except I selected "Beyond Tomorrow" since Barbecue America is no longer in the listing.

I don't know if it would be part of the cause, but I use a utility that blanks out the titles of shows I'm not interested in. It just replaces the title with an empty space. This makes it easier to find the shows I'm interested in, that may be buried in a sea of shows in the TV guide. It works great with the TV guide, but perhaps it's confusing the search? Still, Patrick seems to be having similar problems and he isn't using my utility.

Thank you for your efforts!

Quote:Ah, you're using the old Access database. Thats your problem. I dont
remember seeing any other users using this in the last year or so.

Run the ChangeDatabase.exe utility, and switch to SQLite.

That solved it... I had to update my EPG afterwards, but otherwise all seems to be working well.

I guess once I had GBPVR working well, I never bothered to update the system to the new database. Smile

Thanks again for your help!
