The updateepgonly option does nothing, only when I usethe menu>system>updatepg a scan of the dvb-c broadcast starts. Could ths be the same reason why the auto update does not work?

I'm sure it will be doing it. If you look in the task list, you'll see it running in the background for however long it needs to for this update to complete.

Ater having a look at the logs, I saw that you were right (off course). So I made task in the windows taskmanager and then the pc stays up.
