Hello

Ive had a look around the wiki etc but cant see any mention of using the Twinhan remote with gbpvr.

Can anyone tell me how I might go about getting it to work if possible?

Thanks
Brian

No, this remote is not supported by GB-PVR. You may be able to get it going via some thirdparty software like Girder, but I'm not sure.

well the twinhan remote emulates a keyboard. it can be configure through girder. but there is some over lapping your better off to use UICE it has a specal driver for the twinhan that isolates it from the keyboard and is more easily configed ( I use a twinhan remote to control gb-pvr). of perhaps if gb-pvr has a keyboard layout file you could edit it to match the twinhans keyboard stroke ( i never looked).

sub if you want I can pass along the keyboard stroke of the twinhan remote to you..

or if you have one just open note pad and press the remote it will type the letter that is linked to that particular button

I have one of the remotes, but it didnt have all the required buttons (like Red/Green/Blue/Yellow/etc). It also shared some buttons (OK/Play, Skip/FF, SkipBack/RW), which wouldnt have worked.

Now that we're getting into BDA support, there are going 50000 different remotes and they unfortunately dont follow a specific standard, so I dont think its worth busting a gut to try and support them all. I'd rather just focus on a couple of remotes in the core of GB-PVR, and if people really need to use another type of remote then they can look at something like Girder.

In the last release I added remote control support for USB-UIRT, enabling the user to use any remote or button they want. I'll probably also do this for the RedRat3 in the next release.
