Just recently I have been getting problems with watching TV in GBPVR via my HVR2200 tuner. Often the picture is in black and white (see jpg and logs attached). Analog seems always correct.

I'm pretty sure that is a decoder problem. I've seen a similar image and changing video decoders fixed the issue.

It would pretty much have to be (a decoder issue that is) bearing in mind that digital streams don't carry separate luminance and chrominance components in the way analogue broadcasts do. Never seen it myself though.

I haven't changed the Video decoder (Cyberlink H.264/AVC Azurewave) and it is the only one on my machine that works with our digital TV system. It is the same as used with good results in the 'other thread' post.

The weird pic doesn't occur all the time, either, but it is frequent.

I solved this by changing the video renderer from EVR to VMR9 custom. I am sure EVR has been working but something must have changed to stuff it up.

Given it was a digital stream - they yeah, it was definitely caused by either the video decoder, or the videocard.
