Hi all,
First of all, this is a great little community, excuse my first newbie post [Image: smile.gif]

I'm on my way to building my GB-PVR machine, I haven't actually bought the TV-Tuner card yet, but I intend to buy a PVR-350 and MediaMVP from Savastore. I do have other video content on my PC from various sources which I would like to be able to play via GB-PVR, is this possible? Or can GB-PVR only play content that it has recorded off-air?

I imagine as long as the content I have is in MPEG format I merely just place the files in the appropriate directory on the GB-PVR PC?

Thanks in advance,
Dave.

Yep, if it's MPEG the MVP should play it.

the format also has to match the device format, eg playing PAL mpegs via a PAL 350/MVP.
other than that yeah it will work.

Thanks for all the help everyone. Now we've established that MVP needs MPEG, what is the best way to convert my collection of AVI to MPEGs? I've tried various applications with varying success. I guess I'm looking for what most people regard as the overall best in terms of retaining the original quality of the AVIs that I have together with good speed.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Dave.

Thanks very much tipstir! I intend to donate to gbpvr as soon as I get my MVP and PVR350 so I can install GBPVR and make the best use of it. I'm just doing the prep work at the moment [Image: smile.gif]
Thanks again,
Dave.
