is there an unofficial "community skin"?

For my purposes, others may use the poll differently, the one skin I create will be distributed as Default, and it would be a modest interpretation because that is how I skin. It would be tested and "safe" because it would be my development platform. I am strictly thinking of this from a "look and feel" perspective.

I just voted, I think Jaggy is right, so often so many views but no response. I am as guilty as the next person for that.

My vote went for Slate, but as martin123 said so often anyone trying to problem shoot get's faced with a 'clean base' and that will by default be the default skin.

I've been using Wave but switched to Slate. I like it very much....it gets my vote.

Absolutely, new users need to start smartly, Default skin an no plugins. However any plugin I write will work with the skin I use, so I figure it makes sense to have it look best to the most users out the gate.

I think this poll is being missed for two reasons:

1. Not everyone pays much attention to the General Discussion forum.
2. Looking at the forum list on my 1280x1024 screen, the thread title in the "Last Post" column shows as "is there an unofficial....". That doesn't grab anyone's attention.

I suggest at least changing the thread title to "POLL: What Skin do you use". Perhaps you should also move it to the NPVR support forum; yeah, it's not a support thread, but I think everyone would undertstand the reason for it being there.
