W7 platform update -pch won't connect

Put the platform update down this afternoon. Now notice the pch doesn't connect.

Gets the npvr menu option ( ie the index.html) , selecting that goes black screen. Like normal, but then a white line flashes up, the black screen returns for a few more seconds. Then pch drops back to pch menu.

Haven't looked at logs yet, will do so tomorrow

My backend is Vista but I doubt that the update would impact this. The fact that it goes back to the main screen is positive since that likely means it isn't connecting to the server, maybe the firewall just got turned back off.

Yeah I did see firewall on and turned it off. Only other thing I need to check is unblocking the executable

It was firewall. I'd turned it off via RDP on my iphone, but had not restarted the recording service to start teh 2nd nextpvr instance.
