If your m3u files are correct, but you do spot whats different about your files that makes GB-PVR not handle them correctly, let me know and I'll correct it.

Hi sub,
verified the playlists with Hauppauge software and indeed they work fine. I have tried placing a file called test.mp3 at the root of c: and created a playlist with contents

c:\test.mp3

Unfortunately this didn't work. What format does GBPVR expect the playlist to be in? Is a simple list of absolute paths and filenames acceptable? Are there any length restrictions to the path or filename? Dos the patch\filename have to be enclosed in quotation marks? Do spaces in the path\filename cause any problems? Sorry to throw all these questions at you. I am just at a loss as to why it doesn't work.

All of the .m3u files I've seen have a first line containing #EXTM3U, so GB-PVR checks for this to make sure it really is an m3u file. Without this, no files are added. Do you have this in your file?

No. My playlists are simple flat files with nothing but path\filenames. These lists were created using Windows Media Player and/or Musicmatch Jukebox. That said I can very easily add #EXTM3U to the start of a playlist to see what happens. I'll try this this evening.

I've removed the check for "#EXTM3U" for the next release.

Sub,
I added #EXTM3U to the top of my playlists and sure enough they work fine. Thanks for your time on this. I look forward to the next release.
kind regards,
MVPAAAGH.
