Hi,
First of all WOW, what a piece of software! I checked out most if not all of the PVR software and they all had limitations that made them less then desirable including poor playback, lack of support for remotes, poor performance and sometimes just bad user interface. GB-PVR handled all the requirements and then some. Not sure if the author reads this forum or not, but kudos and congratulations on an excellent piece of work.
For those of you that are struggling at all with poor playback, I found that using the NVidia Pure Video Decoder made everything much clearer and smoothed out the playback considerably. I was originally using Cyberlink decoder but was disappointed in the quality (oddly the qualiy of the Cyberlink decoder was good enough when using the original Hauppauge Win TV 2000 application, the change was only required to improve GB-PVR playback).
I'm almost embarrassed to put forth this question but here goes: Under Windows XP Pro when I have the taskbar auto-hide unchecked AND I maximize GB-PVR I thought the TV / video should take up the entire screen but the taskbar remains showing at all times (unless I auto-hide it).
As you would expect, a bright blue bar with a myriad of colorful icons takes away from the viewing experience. Is there a setting in GB-PVR that will allow me to experience my video in full screen without seeing the taskbar?
BTW: I never auto-hide the taskbar during normal use of the PC, so it is intrusive to have to set and unset this feature to use a single application like GB-PVR.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
