You'll have to ask the author of HIPsend to modify the app so that it can work from different desktop sessions.

It's weird.

Hipsend will work if it's called from a batch file, (interacting from desktop, I guess)

But when GB-PVR doesn't interact, I can switch channels in TV Guide and Live TV, but it won't change for scheduled recordings.

Is only the Sceduled recordings NOT interacting with the desktop?

And in what way might I ask Peter (the author) to have HipSend function with your service that's not interacting?

Thats correct. The Recording Service is running in a different user account in a different desktop session.

Literally just ask him to change it so it works from different desktop sessions. Tell him GB-PVR is running as a service under a different user account, so he cant use stuff like WM_COPYDATA (aka, the clipboard) for transferring data.

The mvp windows actually start hidden (when Windows is booting), but the problem is caused when Windows later logs in. It makes the windows visible for some reason. This isnt new though. GB-PVR has always been this way.

You can safely close these windows - they'll be restarted again (hidden).

If I wrote a watcher, that would detect the window when it's in forground and close it, automatically, wouldn't that destroy my connection to the MediaMVP, and force a contacting server...
