Closing Config (OK) - More issues?

I closed the config app with "OK" today. It was stuck there for a while, so I said I'll time it. After a while I got tired. Few hours later, still closing, I figured it's stuck.
The last thing in the config.log is

So I checked the recording service, and the last thing it wrote was from this morning (10 hours ago), probably got stuck then:

Logs attached. GBPVR GUI wasn't running at the time (the Config closing, 17:00 but was running in the morning, when reocrding service lost contact... at 07:00).

We'll look at it if its still a problem in the next release. There is not currently much logging when you hit the OK button in the config app. I've added more useful diagnostics in this are for the next release that would easily tell us what is happening.

Well, the way I see it that the problem, at least in this case, is not in the config at all, that may be a symptom. The recording service did not log lines for 12 hours, and will not also when using the Service console. The last thing it did was ask to "RequestDatabaseCompaction". What in this procedure can cause it to get stuck?

RequestDatabaseCompaction actually doesnt nothing unless you're using the old Access MDB database.

I'd still be more interested to know where the config app has stopped.

We'll look at it if its still a problem in the next release. There is not currently much logging when you hit the OK button in the config app. I've added more useful diagnostics in this are for the next release that would easily tell us what is happening.
