Streaming from my machine

Its probably best to try with an existing recording first (rather than live tv), since we can be sure files wont be deleted between me getting the logs and asking you to check something.

I'm about to shoot out for a couple of hours, but an important next step is trying to play an existing recording from the client, then checking the gbpvr.exe-native.log for this full UNC path (like the one shown in the post above), then trying to "run" that path to make sure the path is correct. If not, then its likely the shares are not set up correctly.

Hi sub,
After your advice the other night I have given up on that machine and moved to one I know to be more reliable!
As it stands now I am running this machine as a client and in file sharing mode as suggested by yourself.
Now I can play back recordings without a problem through GBPVR but the livetv just gets a blank screen.

It looks like you don't have write permission to the server database.
I would double check the permissions for your shares

Make sure you check the permissions for the recorded tv and live tv directories as well

Hi guys,
It is true there were no write permissions, those permissions are now in place, but instead of the blank screen it is flicking right back the the tv guide.
