I am not sure if this is an MVP issue or a ComSkip/ComClean issue. During playback (viewing on TV through MVP) there will be random instances of the video jumping ahead, like 10 minutes or so, forward. If I hit rewind I have to go to the point it occurred and it will then replay correctly. If I rewind but don't go back to the point when the skip occurred, as soon as I click on 'play' it jumps again. I recently got a new computer and loaded 99.12 with the latest version of ComSkip and ComClean. Also, latest Hauppauge MVP and PVR drivers. I tried switching the 99.12 dongle with 99.05 but still had the problem. Any ideas?

Perhaps you need the fix as described in the pvr 150 timestamp thread.

You did install new drivers and applied the registry patch?
I'd try turning off comclean, just to see what happens then.

Yes, removed previous drivers, loaded new drivers, applied registry patch. I will try your suggestion and see what happens.

Did you also remember to reboot after creating the registry settings? They're only read at bootup.

That seems to have done it. I have played 2 shows so far and no jumping ahead. Now I'll try to find out why comclean wasn't working right. In the meantime I'll stick with comskip alone. Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure (I might be mixing up comclean and com-cut) but I think it had to do with not making clean cuts, i.e. cuts in the middle of a gop (group of pictures). I'm quite sure if you'd use Videoredo you'd be fine.

HtV is correct. comcut didnt fix the timestamps when doing cuts, instead just removing random chunks of the file.
