Wakeup from suspend under 1.0.16

I'm having trouble getting my new 1.0.16 install under Vista to wakup from S3 suspend for scheduled recordings. I can confirm that the RTC wakeup from S3 is working OK as I have tested this using an application called WakeMeUp! and I've also tried installed the patch that appears under the 1.0.16 survival guide thread.

Does anybody have any ideas what could be causing this?

That was the patch I installed but it didn't make any difference. I've never had any issues with older versions and 1.0.8 worked fine it's just the upgrade to 1.0.16 that has broken it.

Since nobody else seems to be reporting this issue I'll try reinstalling 1.0.16 from scratch and see if I can get it going with or without the nativeutilities patch.
