Hi all-
I've been using Schedules Direct for several weeks now, and it has been working fine. All of a sudden earlier this week, GB-PVR stopped updating the EPG information. I went into config and tried to do it manually, but I would get a 401 unauthorized error back from them. I don't know why this is, as I have not changed the login information that I have saved in config, but just to be sure, I tried retyping it about 10 times, and I am still getting the same error. I have no problem logging in to my account on the schedules direct website, where it says it is active, so I am thinking the problem is with GBPVR. I also tried to register for the forum using the email address that I was having issues with, and it told me that the address was not vaild, though I use it everyday. I had this problem once before with my gmail account. I used it to make my first schedules direct account, but I kept getting the unauthorized error from GB-PVR when attempting to update the EPG, eventually I switched to the current email address, and was not having problems until now. But I know the forum told me that both my gmail account and the current email (bconverse@wisc.edu) are both invalid when I tried to register here, so I am not sure, but it almost seems like there might be a connection. Again, I am able to login fine to schedules direct on their website, and they can't seem to find any problem. But, I've never encountered anything like this before. I know forums often block the registration of emails from certain domains, but the address I am using is from a .edu domain, and as far as I know, gmail has not been blocked yet? I might try changing my address yet again, and then seeing if I can log back on, but I don't want that address to work for a few weeks, and then become invalid like my current one.

Thanks for any help, I am really quite confused by all of this.

I have definitely typed in the correct username and password combination several times, as it still works fine on the schedules direct website. So, I am not just "typing it wrong". The forum registration issue also shows that.

Best of my knowledge is the username to use with schedules direct is NOT your email address anymore but only the username you selected. In the survival guid it explains this. Even though GBPVR config is asking for your email address, you actually need to type in your username.

Yeah, I noticed that, and my username is was simply the email address. I never changed it to anything else. So bconverse@wisc.edu was the username, as well as the email address the account was registered under.

I know the schedules direct guys are investigating a problem today where several users are unable to download listings at the moment. I suspect you've got this problewm.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. They did not mention this to me when I spoke with them directly. I'll keep you updated on the situation.
