Here is the fix for queueit that should only kick off one job. Let me know if there are issues because I can't wait for the process to start since there is no GUI and that could cause it to terminate early.

The install is updated as well.

gEd you should have the right one since I posted it earlier on the wiki.

When using SkipTool to navigate through the file and setting IN/OUT points the best accuracy it gives you is 0.3s. Given that most cutting programs can only cut on I-frames (or GOP boundaries) is it possible for SkipTool to only navigate on I-frames through the file?

The finest resolution would then be +- one GOP and 1s, 3s, etc. would end up on the nearest I-frame after stepping forward/backward the given amount of time. I didn't check if SkipTools is already doing what I ask you to consider here Wink , but if not this could improve the predictability of the cut positions.

Many thanks for an already very good program,

Volker

I'll look into this but I'm not sure if ffmpeg navigates through the file on iframes or not. I'll see what I can find out.

Skiptool looks to work great used normally, but I'm trying to get it to transcode with Stattik's file and Mencoder using a .mp4 or .mkv container instead of .avi. Stattik's newer version can do this, but does Skiptool use a built-in older version of Stattik's Mencoder script or something?

I have Stattik's version 0.5.5b but the Skiptool install log keeps showing 0.5.1g. Is that 0.5.1g.bat hardcoded in there? I don't see anything that lets me point Skiptool to the newer Stattik .bat file.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

It's not hardcoded. The script is in gbpvr\Third Party. Parameters for the scripts can be changed by editting the scriptoptions.txt file in the plugins\skiptool dir.
However - Stattik created the version that I use to be able to be called from the command line. The new version would need that capability also and I don't know if it does. I'll check with Stattik.

Hi, I've been browsing around this forum for a while trying to find my answer but I haven't been able to so far. I'm trying to convert my recordings from gbpvr that's in mpeg-2 format into an avi form so I can do my final good compression with virtualdub. But, everytime I try using skiptool's converter or gb-pvr converter in the video library section, I get these crappy outputs of file sizes around 200-400mb that are blocky and very bad video quality. I've been playing around with the settings to try to bump up the bitrates but nothing I've done has seemed to change it, I still get crappy outputs with small file sizes.

Any suggestions?
Thanks, xJedix

There are a number of options to run the conversion. Are you converting the resolution, or leaving it at full resolution?
At any rate stattik is really the guy you should ask this of and he has a thread at http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...t=mencoder

I've been trying to find info on fine-tuning comskip, so I dutifully started in the "utilities" section of the GBPVR wiki. There is a link at http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/ComSkip that points to http://www.sage-community.org/index.cgi/wiki/ComSkip but when you follow it, you end up with a page offering "Homes for sale", "Airline Tickets","Women seeking affairs".... Nothing I could find relating to comskip. The link should be fixed or removed.
