Slight problem playing converted DVDs

I have converted two DVD movies to an avi file. When I play these movies in GBPVR it seems that it loses focus. I'm using the mini remote for my Pinnacle USB tuner and have mapped keyboard commands for the keys but they only function if the program specified is in focus. So when I play these .avi files the movie displays fine but I can't pause, FF, RW, ect until I connect via VNC and click on the screen. I am playing the files thru the default video plugin. I also have some converted .mpg files but they play with no problems. Any thoughts?

This sounds like the same problems others have had while tray to play divx files and the tray icon stealing focus. Have a look herehttp://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=30993

if you can't find the tray kill utility you can remove the divx codec and install xvid instead.
